SpaceX is preparing to take their Starlink service to the next level by offering cell service coverage.

On Monday, a SpaceX Executive announced that SpaceX intends to commence testing of its Starlink satellite-to-cell service with T-Mobile this year.

SpaceX and T-Mobile announced their collaboration at a special live event at Starbase, Texas in August 2022. Their goal "eliminating mobile dead zones"

SpaceX has successfully launched over 4,000 Starlink satellites with over 3700 still in orbit. Recently they introduced their more advanced "V2 Mini" satellites, which the company claims have four times the capacity of the previous generation.

Jonathan Hofeller, the Vice President of Starlink enterprise sales, shared on Monday that the company is currently producing six satellites daily at its Seattle-based facility and is no longer manufacturing the previous 1.5 series of Starlink satellites. Additionally, SpaceX is also producing "thousands" of user terminals every day.

While SpaceX is planning to develop larger second-generation satellites, their launch is closely linked to the Starship. When Starship becomes operational the company plans to begin launching there Starlink V2 satellites, with a planned constellation of over 30,000 satellites.

SpaceX has surpassed over a million Starlink users, and saw its first "cash flow positive quarter" in late 2022.
