Russia exercised its veto power in the United Nations Security Council on April 25th, blocking a resolution aimed at addressing concerns over the reported development of a nuclear anti-satellite weapon.
Russia's Luna-25 spacecraft has encountered an "emergency situation" during a critical maneuver in Lunar orbit.
In the early hours of the morning, the Russian space agency, Roscosmos, successfully launched a Proton-M rocket with a Briz-M upper stage carrying the Luch-5X spacecraft. The launch took place at 02:12:59.981 Moscow time from the 200th site of the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan.
In March 2023, reports emerged that Kazakh authorities had seized all TsENKI assets in Baikonur and issued orders for the local head of the organization not to leave the country.
On Saturday morning, during docking operations of the Progress 83 (MS-22) spacecraft at the International Space Station, teams in Moscow identified a coolant leak aboard the already docked Progress 62 (MS-21) spacecraft which arrived at the orbiting lab back in October.
