CSMC Hires NASA Astronaut As Executive VP Of Strategy

The Canadian Space Mining Corporation (CSMC) has hired NASA Astronaut and Geophysicist Dr. Andrew J. Feustel to be their Executive Vice President of Strategy.

CSMC is researching and developing innovative technologies for sustainable space mining. Dr. Feustel's addition to their team is expected to significantly enhance the corporation's capabilities and potential for groundbreaking advancements in this field.

Feustel's extensive experience and expertise in the human spaceflight industry, including serving as Commander of the International Space Station in 2018, Deputy Chief of the Astronaut Office from 2020 to 2022, and Acting Chief Astronaut from 2022 to 2023, make him a highly valuable addition to CSMC.

He began his journey as a NASA astronaut in 2000, after completing his education at Oakland Community College, Michigan, Purdue University, Indiana, and Queen's University, Ontario, Canada.

Feustel flew to space on three missions: STS-125 in 2009, STS-134 in 2011, and Expedition 55/56 in 2018. During these missions, he spent a total of 226 days in space, where he conducted vital research and maintenance tasks aboard the International Space Station.
