WestJet has announced, it has partner with TELUS to bring a new era of high-speed, free internet connectivity to the skies of Canada via Starlink.

The partnership will introduce industry-leading internet capabilities to WestJet's fleet, ensuring that passengers remain connected with fast and reliable internet service throughout their journeys.

TELUS will present this innovative service, while Starlink will be responsible for delivering the cutting-edge technology that powers it.

The new inflight connectivity platform is set to launch this winter with WestJet Rewards members set to be among the first to benefit, enjoying exclusive, free access to this cutting-edge service. The rollout of the new platform will be phased, with installation planned to be completed on WestJet’s modern narrowbody fleet by the end of 2025. Additionally, the airline aims to upgrade all wide-body aircraft by the end of 2026.
