Relativity Space has made history successfully launching its Terran 1 launch vehicle for the first time.
On 11th March 2023, Relativity Space scrubbed the Good Luck Have Fun (GLHF) launch, during a second attempt on that day, at T-45 seconds before liftoff.
On 8th March 2023, Relativity Space scrubbed the Good Luck Have Fun (GLHF) launch due to exceeding launch commit criteria levels for the thermal conditions of Stage 2.
After many months of rigorous testing at NASA Stennis’s engine testing facilities, Relativity Spaces new, high power methalox engine has completed its first full throttle test of the engine’s thrust chamber.
On 21 February 2023, the FAA granted Relativity Space a launch licence for the first launch of their Terran 1 rocket. The issued launch licence authorises Relativity to conduct pre-launch operations and launch operations at SLC-16. Since Relativity Space recieved its launch licence they have announced the launch date for the ‘Good Luck Have Fun’ (GLHF) mission, between 13:00-16:00 EST (18:00-21:00 UTC) on 8 March 2023.
NASA’s Stennis Space Center now operates in service of many programs and companies, with NASA, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Relativity, and RocketLab being the main tenets of the test stands today.
