NASA's SpaceX Crew 7 mission to the International Space Station has been delayed again with a new target launch window of 3:49 a.m. EDT on Friday, Aug. 25.
This most recent delay was necessary to ensure the pad readiness following SpaceX's recent Falcon Heavy mission from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This adjustment was also made to make use of consecutive launch opportunities and avoid conflicts with the station's cargo spacecraft traffic schedule.
The NASA SpaceX Crew 7 mission will carry NASA astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli, ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Andreas Mogensen, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Satoshi Furukawa, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft.
Crew Dragon is now scheduled to dock to the international space station around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, at the space-facing port of the station's Harmony module.
If required, Crew-7 also has additional launch opportunities on Saturday, Aug. 26, and Sunday, Aug. 27.
