True Anomaly has announced a deal with Redwire to equip their Jackal spacecraft with Redwires state-of-the-art navigation and sensing cameras which are slated to launch in early 2024.

True Anomaly's flagship creation is Jackal, a compact satellite that has been meticulously developed with the primary purpose of pursuing and closely observing elusive and uncooperative space objects.

The incorporation of Redwire's navigation and sensing cameras will undoubtedly bolster Jackal's capabilities, enabling it to execute its intended tasks with even greater precision and effectiveness.

The integration of Redwire's cutting-edge technology will equip each Jackal satellite with a SpectraCam, serving as a versatile tool for docking, navigation, inspection, and situational awareness. In addition, two SpectraTrac star trackers will collaborate with the cameras to facilitate spacecraft navigation and the detection of objects of interest within the vast expanse of space. The SpectraTrac algorithms have been tailored to cater to True Anomaly's specific needs, enabling the utilization of star trackers for space domain awareness applications.

Even Rogers, the CEO of True Anomaly, took to the stage on August 8th at the Small Satellite Conference in Logan, Utah, to reveal the groundbreaking partnership with Redwire.
