Rocket Details

Name:

Antares 330

Description:

Antares 300 series replaces the Antares 200 series first stage with a new, wider, first stage produced by Firefly Aerospace which is similar to Firefly's in-development Beta launch vehicle. It features 7 Miranda engines on its first stage and a single Castor 30XL Solid Rocket Motor as its second stage. The decision to make the Antares 300 series, with a new first stage, was due to the unavailability of the RD-181 engines previously used due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
